Canada Place
Home of the Vancouver Trade & Convention Centré, the Cruise Ship Terminal, the CN IMAX Theatre, shops, restaurants and a first-class hotel, Canada Place was established as the site for the Canada Pavilion at EXPO 86. The distinctive sails of the roof are a Vancouver landmark. In 1998 the Cruise Ship Terminal at Canada Place was home to over 250 vessels carrying in excess of 550,000 passengers. You can often see cruise ships tied up alongside it, especially in the summer. One of the world's most distinctive meeting places, the Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centré has over 172,000 sq. ft. and accommodates groups numbering from 10 to 10,000.

Climate
Vancouver will be enjoying late spring and daytime temperatures will ordinarily range from 16°C to 22°C (55°-70°F). Evenings are cool; a jacket is advisable.

The Canadian dollar has an exchange rate of approximately US $1 to CDN $1.40. Major credit cards are suggested in hotels, restaurants and shops.
