Practical Use of TEE in Cardiac Surgery

Educational Objective: At the conclusion of the workshop, the participant: 1) will understand the use of intraoperative transesophageal echocardiography to evaluate cardiac performance, both systolic and diastolic, and valvular lesions using 2-dimensional and Doppler echocardiographic techniques; and 2) will have enhanced skills for diagnosing and assessing myocardial performance and structures.
