Fellowships
The SCA believes that excellence in clinical care, education, and
research in cardiothoracic anesthesia is best achieved by standardization
of the training in the subspecialty.
ACGME posts submission for program requirements
Oct. 10, 2005 - Members interested in viewing the ACGME proposals for
training in adult and/or pediatric cardiothoracic anesthesiology should
go to www.acgme.org, click on the "review and comment" tab, then "Program requirements."
We have also compiled a list of existing fellowship programs. To review
information on a particular fellowship program, please scroll to the
fellowship of your choice, click on the program and review the information
provided. This listing was compiled originally in 1997 and is
continually updated.
Should a Program Director wish to update a current cardiovascular anesthesia
fellowship listing or add one that is not currently listed, please click here
and complete the on-line template. Alternatively, Program Directors may print
and fill out the blank template or print and update an existing listing. These
should then be sent to SCA headquarters by mail or fax (804-282-0090). To
ensure accuracy, Program Directors will be contacted by telephone to verify
information before new or updated listings are placed on the SCA's website.
