Clinical Program

# of non-cardiac thoracic cases per year: 1,000-1,200

# of heart, lung and heart/lung transplants per year: 100

# of major vascular cases per year: 500-700

# of intraoperative TEE per year: 1200-1500

Distribution of cardiac cases: 50% CABG, 40% Valves, 5-10% Congenital

Operating Room equipment available: transesophageal echocardiography, ECG ST segment analysis, transcranial Doppler, mixed venous oximetry, evoked potentials, cerebral blood flow/transcranial Doppler
