APPLICATION PROCESS:

Anesthesiology residency graduates may submit a standard GME application, accompanied by a resume, personal statement, three letters of reference, USMLE scores, medical school transcripts, In-training exam scores, valid ECFMG certificate and proof of visa status, if applicable. All applications will receive careful review and consideration by the selection committee. Interviews are scheduled by invitation after the complete application is received. The selection criteria include the following: -Passing the 3 Steps of USMLE/COMLEX examinations (with the scores preferably in the upper 80th percentile); -Satisfactory medical school performance, as evidenced by the transcripts reflecting successfully passing grades; -Satisfactory residency performance, as evidenced by recommendation letters and performance evaluations; -Integrity, motivation, and overall interest in anesthesiology and the Henry Ford Hospital, as described in the personal statement; -Overall preparedness, ability, and aptitude to be successful in the program, acknowledged in performance evaluations and letters of recommendation.
