Comments: Loyola University Medical Center was ranked the #1 hospital in Illinois and in the top 25 in the nation in the area of cardiovascular and thoracic services. We offer excellent experience managing a variety of complex cardiac and thoracic surgical cases, heart and lung transplantation, thoracic aortic aneurysm repair, and ventricular assist devices. The fellow will have the opportunity to complete a transesophageal echocardiography rotation with Department of Cardiology as well as obtain postoperative critical care experience in the post cardiac surgical ICU directed by our faculty.
