Type of fellowship training available: Clinical/Basic Science, Clinical/Clinical Research.

Responsibility: Clinical 80% Non-Clinical 20% (Clinical responsibilites include adult, pediatric and adult congenital cardiac anesthesia. Research responsibilities include submission for publication of one abstract/manuscript or participation in one of the division anesthesia clinical or basic science research projects. Self constructed research projects will also satisfy a fellow's research responsibilities. )

Salary: Based upon PGY level

Minimum length of training: 12 months

Distribution of cases: CABG 58%, Valve & Valve/CABG 29%, Aortic reconstruction 5%, Congenital heart disease 5%

Distribution of cardiac cases: 60% CABG, 25% Valves, 5% Congenital (plus two months rotation at Boston Children's)

Operating Room equipment available: Dedicated TEE console in each OR with on-line, real-time connection to cardiology ECHO reading room & echocardiography staff
