Clinical Program

# of cardiac procedures with CPB per year: 2,400

# of non-cardiac thoracic cases per year: 1,400

# of heart, lung and heart/lung transplants per year: 80

Distribution of cardiac cases: 45% CABG, 25% Valves, 30% Congenital

Operating Room equipment available: transesophageal echocardiography, ECG ST segment analysis, transcranial Doppler, mixed venous oximetry, continuous cardiac output, evoked potentials, cerebral blood flox/transcranial Doppler, cerebral near-infrared Spectrophotometry

Special features, requirements or comments about program: Flexibility can include 1 or 2 years clinical adult and pediatric cardiac, thoracic, intervascular, critical care, TEE, clinical or basic science research depending on the goals of the applicant.
